Senior DevOps Engineer

Full-time

Create and maintain the infrastructure that allows for continuous integration and deployment of software applications at Jia. Collaborate with software development teams to ensure that software products are released quickly, reliably, and securely.

As a senior DevOps engineer at Jia, your scope of work will involve the following;

Implement and maintain automated build, test, and deployment processes to enable frequent and reliable software releases.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts and tools to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure resources.
Manage and maintain configuration management tools to ensure consistent and reproducible software environments across different stages of the development lifecycle.
Set up and configure monitoring and logging systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, monitor performance, and maintain system health.
Work with cloud service providers to architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure, leveraging services such as compute, storage, networking, and databases.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as data privacy and industry-specific requirements (e.g. PCI-DSS).
Respond to and resolve production incidents promptly, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents.

You will be expected to work with minimum supervision and have a high level of ownership of the DevOps backlog.

What we’re looking for 🔍

In-depth understanding of infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage) and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expertise in automation tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Helm, Kustomize, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Experience with infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Go, Java, Python).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
